This story is about Connell Kirkland, his company Earthcore and the very cut-throat world of mining. After receiving a tip about a huge platinum deposit worth a billion dollars buried beneath mountains in Utah, Kirkland quickly starts the process of setting up a crew to accompany him to extract the platinum under the ground in order to beat his competitors. He finally gets their camp and machinery set up and work starts on the mine however he very soon finds out that this is not going to be a normal job.

Once on site he notices strange things start happening. Before entering the mine shaft everyone has to don a special protective suit that allows them to survive in the very hot and deadly temperatures deep in the mine. Once his team has started their descent they realize they are not alone underground. One by one the team starts getting massacred by an unseen foe. You will need to read and find out who (or what) is after them. Will anyone make it out alive or will they all perish? I truly think you will enjoy this book if you enjoy sci-fi, danger, mystery and action. Let me know what you think!
