They say when you marry someone you marry their whole family and you better make sure that you know what you’re getting into. Unfortunately for our character Emily she didn’t truly understand what was at stake when meeting what would become her mother in law Pammie.

When she meets Adam after he rescues her at a bar he is the perfect gentleman and doting boyfriend. However, things drastically change once he takes her home to meet his overbearing, two-faced mother who does everything in her power to cause a rift between Emily and her son. Even given these difficult obstacles in her way and Adams shift in mood and behavior Emily is determined not to give Adam up no matter the cost.

I found myself constantly feeling so upset and angry because I did not understand the cruelty behind all Pammie’s actions. The truth behind Adam and Pammie’s relationship is revealed at the conclusion of the book and it’s a doozy! I did not see this coming at all!  Who’s the true villain in this tale? Read and you shall see!
